KG2 Artists
When children begin to explore their talents and specialties, one of the areas some may excel in is painting. Even though painting may not be every learner’s favorite activity, it sure does have benefits that they can learn from.
Fostering art activities does not just increase our learner’s chance of becoming the next Picasso, but it also helps them develop mentally, socially, and emotionally. It stimulates their brain to be able to express their feelings through colors without using words. Free painting allows the learners develop mobility skills. Moving hand muscles while painting permits a large scope of physical development.
Painting freely is an open- ended art, where learners use their senses, express emotions, explore process and outcomes, manipulate colors, and create aesthetically pleasing work and experiences.
Therefore, if our learners decided to paint at home, here are some tips ….
- Prepare for a mess : set up an art space
- Avoid giving directions: just encourage
- And let it be : accept the result and cheer …
